Joy=You Frame by Libby

Joy=You Frame

By: Libby

This Frame was super easy! I bought a frame... you could use wood, chipboard, or whatever. The one I chose was by EK success and was a sturdy Canvas Frame.

I took a few quick measurements of the frame and chose a piece of the Bo Bunny Persuasion Paper found here in the store.

I cut the paper to my measurements and inked the edges. Let me just say I loved this paper! After I cut if I decided that I wanted to highlight some of the saying that were on it. I used a Heidi Swapp Chipboard Label with brads on some words and others I used Chipboard hearts of Kaiser Pearls. Fun, Fun, Fun!
After doing this I adhered the paper to the frame. This way the brads I used on the label holder were not a problem on the back side.

Next I chose some chipboard flourishes and a large heart. I Painted them with acrylic paint. After they were dry I sanded and Inked them. (If you want a vintagy feel remember it is ok if some of the paint comes off all the way! When you ink on top of those areas it will absorb the ink and it gives it a great worn look!) After I distressed and inked the large cream color heart I sprayed a coating of the shimmerz http://scrapbookdoodle.com/ss21bb.html in the baby's breath color. (it is pretty translucent and is a wonderful glimmer coating to layer on top of things!)

On to the roses! (Make sure you do these ahead of time to give them time to dry! Don't worry about ink on your hands! It washes off and gives people something to talk about. LOL! ) These were super fun to do! I found a tutorial for them on the maya road blog and made them out of muslin strips. They were beautiful in the natural muslin color, but I wanted to play! I sprayed them with pinks, reds, and the latte glimmer mist from tattered angels that can be found here in the store.

I found I was not getting a lot of sparkle so I again used the Shimmerz Baby's Breath as a top coat. (Let me just say.. They are beautiful and VERY SHIMMERY! the pictures do not do them justice!)

Next I gathered a few items. I used metal buttons from my stash, some metallic string, a few heart stick pins (you could even use old corsage pins if you wanted!) , prima leaves, heidi swap chipboard hearts, brads, and Kaiser bling.
I just started working on a corner grouping with these items and this is what I came up with!.
Note:... my metal buttons had shandks so they would not lay flat. I used a pair of wire cutters and cut the shanks off.

I added the clear Chunky Alpha letters from Bo Bunny http://scrapbookdoodle.com/cbac640.html to the transparency cover that came with the frame and Wow! I was done! Easy Peasy!

Thanks for looking!
