I Love you Valentines Card
I Love You Card
By: Libby
This card was super fun to do...
I cut the paper from the Basic Grey Infuse Line and then would you believe I matched it up to the Pink Paislee mistletoe memories Christmas Line?!!
Again I used Bazzill Kraft Cardstock as my base for the card...(I swear it goes with almost everything!! ) (and Yvonne sells it in packs of 25 in the store!)
I inked the edges of all of the papers. I also stitched on the button and sewed on the edge of the red dot strip before I adhered it to the piece behind it. (shh!! everyone will think you sewed after but now it will not show up on the back of the base of the card!)
I painted a chipboard heart vintage white and then sanded and inked it to give it a more "vintage" feel.
I layered the paper with the Jillibean Soup Month Sprout! I just love these things!!
HINT:
Before I put the chipboard heart on I cut up an old styrafoam soda cup. The bottom of those things are thick and you can cut a square to "lift" the heart off of the card and then you will also have a place for the stick pins to stick through. This will give them a good anchor.
I tied ribbon around the pins in a knot and cut it short. I added bling to the heart. I used some Jenni Bowlin letters to spell out "I love you".. but... I LIFTED them off of the page with foam pop dots. They fit perfectly and this gave them a great 3-D effect!
